Allen's International Student Program provides each student with the opportunity to become immersed in an American educational environment. From developing better speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to building lifelong friendships, Allen Academy prepares intermediate and advanced English-speaking students to communicate with confidence in an increasingly global society.

We look forward to working with families from other countries and understand that their circumstances may present some challenges as they go through the admissions process. As a day school, Allen's policy requires that all students reside with a parent, legal guardian, or host family. For international students interested in attending Allen Academy, we issue I-20 visas and work closely with families during the transition process.

Every effort is made to place students with pre-approved host families to ensure a rich, cultural experience while studying at Allen Academy. The typical admissions process for international students is:

• Application received and reviewed (all required documentation must be received)
  Student is interviewed
• If accepted, the school issues an I-20 visa
• Student receives information about orientation programs, host family, American culture, and more about the school
