Welcome to the Blog for Allen Academy.  I am the Head of School at Allen, and I plan to use this blog as a way to share my thoughts on a variety of topics regarding education in general and specifically education at Allen Academy.  The comments made by me via this blog are my own thoughts on a subject and do not necessaily reflect the collective thoughts or beliefs of the board or faculty at Allen Academy.

I welcome the opportunity for some open dialog about topics that I believe are important with respect to quality education.

New Web Site

Our new web site is up and running, and I am so pleased with how it turned out. There are many individuals who worked hard to provide content for the new site. Among those who invested large amounts of time and energy are: Roxann Allen, Karen White, Kathy Duewall, Dave Bliss, Staci Wyatt, Tina Tucker, Nathan McCoy, and Cheryl Hightower. A special thanks goes to Mark Garton for his photos of some of our students.

Finally on behalf of the staff at Allen Academy, I would like to recognize the work and creative talents of Scott Rouse from Scott Rouse Digital for designing and launching the new web site in a timely and professional manner.
