Blasting Off Into Space

Mrs. Westbrook’s Weekly Wiggle

 

Language:  We role played a trip to the moon.  We rode in a rocket and had a space walk.  We repaired a satellite and orbited around the sun on space scooters.

Math: We played Star Jump with Flying Frogs while counting to 10.  We also counted the planets and our astronaut fingers.

Another wonderful week in Pre-K!

Language:  We had Spider Day on Monday.  We read The Itsy Bitsy Spider and then role played the story.  We read Inside a Teepee and picked Native American names for each child. 

Math: We hunted ghosts and counted them.  We tossed spiders onto a web and named the shape they landed on.  We rolled a die and counted acorns using one to one correspondence. 

Busy Bodies and Busy Minds in Preschool!

Preschool has been very busy in the last few weeks.  Pre-K I has been busy leaning all about camping, families and our 5 Senses. We have been on a trail walk, enjoyed trail mix and used our binoculars to locate a variety of wildlife on our campus. We brought Family Albums that we created at home, to school and shared all about our families. We have all been to some really interesting places! With our 5 Senses unit we experienced hot and cold, baked biscuits and even ate polar bear noses.  It has been a very exciting beginning to our school year. We are loo
