Biographies and Box Tops

During the first week of school, all of the kids completed an "All About Me" poster. Today, we used that poster as a resource for our first major writing assignment. They took their Journals and clipboards to the hallway and took notes using their poster. We are beginning a Biography Unit in reading and will write our personal autobiographies to go along with all of the other important people that we will read about. Look for a Biography Home Project rubric coming home soon!

BOX TOPS! Brent and Eric have completed pages of Box Tops for Education. Look for the little Box Tops on items that you have at the house...food, notebooks, Kleenex...they're all over the place! For each page of 25 Box Tops, our school earns $2.50. We discovered that it adds up very quickly. Already, thanks to Brent and Eric (along with 7 tops from Miss Sanders), we have helped Allen Academy earn $12.50! You can fill the pages at home or just put the tops in a bag and send them to school and we'll fill the pages ourselves. Save those Box Tops!!!
