Monsters 2010!!

We started our Monster 2010 project today!!! We signed up online for this collaborative project.  Then we got an e-mail saying what body part we were in charge of describing.  We were given the monster's nose ring.  We described it as made of golden bones, it is mucus stained, covered in boogers and mold.  It has a skeleton hanging from it.  Then we printed off all the body parts that the other classes from around the world did.  Now we are constructing the parts to make our huge monsters.  This is going to take the whole month of October.  We are using math by measuring, adding, learning about shapes, and subtracting.  We are using social studies by locating where in the world each of the schools that are participating is.  Today we started by making the eyes and hands of our monster.  Pictures will be coming soon!!!

Monsters 2010

Fourth grade is SO excited that you will be joining us in the Monsters 2010 Challenge! We can't wait to see how your monster turns out, and read the stories that will inevitably be written about them. Good luck, and Happy Monster Making!
