Allen is committed to becoming a national leader in the field of independent education. The School does not shrink from this challenge for the beneficiaries of its work are our children, and our children's children. Contemporary pop culture attacks our children daily - their education, their moral development, their safety, and their esteem. Allen believes it is time to stand and teach our children to be brave in the face of deteriorating standards of education, ethics, and leadership. Allen nurtures in our children this greater sense of valor; a sense of valor which includes a determination of who they are and what they believe; of justice and equity; of honor; of integrity; of the historical and philosophical reasons to stand up and be heard; and most importantly, a sense of where they are in the world and the impact of their contributions.

The Pre-Kindergarten through Twelfth grade curriculum is exclusively college preparatory. There are no "tracks" or special programs. Each and every student is expected to negotiate a college preparatory curriculum. The culmination of the Allen program comes in the junior and senior year with only Honors or Advanced Placement courses offered to students in the core content areas.

The exclusivity of the program has resulted in several external forms of recognition - standardized test scores rank in the top 5% of the country, Allen has won six out of the last eight state championships in TAPPS academic competition, six National Merit Scholars in as many years, and a 100% college acceptance rate. Recent admission decisions include Harvard, Emory, Air Force Academy, Notre Dame, Rice, Stanford, Naval Academy, Syracuse, Austin College, Texas A&M, SMU, and University of Texas at Austin.

Allen is a bastion for those seeking a literate and discerning culture. History, literature, science, philosophy, math, music, drama, art, and athletics are our guides. The simple challenges of everyday life also play their role. A superior education must address the need for our young people to act as ladies and gentlemen of the highest caliber. Offensive displays of behavior and language are not welcomed at Allen. The recognition of right and wrong, action and inaction, wisdom, temperance, and discretion are all the better parts of valor and an Allen education.

Allen continuously cultivates our children's sense of valor and scholarship by holding fast to the belief that a rigorous education is intrinsically valuable. Indeed, Allen is a school that lives its mission and lives up to its vision of Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow.
