John Clanton
Clanton is a 1985 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a BBA in Accounting. After working in public accounting industry for six years, he returned to Bryan and opened his own accounting practice. In 1993 he started Trajen, Inc., a logistics support company serving the commercial and military aviation markets. Trajen grew rapidly to 500 employees, operating 25 locations, in nine states, and in 2002, was selected as the Small Business Sub-Contractor of the year by the Small Business Administration. In 2005, Clanton sold his interest in Trajen, and formed Astin Partners, a real estate development company specializing in redevelopment of historical commercial properties.
Clanton has served on the Board of Directors for The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley, the Brazos Valley Community Foundation, St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Mays Business School Advisory and Allen Academy.
