Each student in grades six through eight must successfully navigate coursework
in English, History, Mathematics, Science, Spanish, Art, Music, and Physical
Education. In addition to classroom activities, Middle School students have a
number of extra-curricular activities available to them. Additionally, middle
school students participate in an athletics program that emphasizes the
philosophy of inclusion and teamwork.
The duality of advanced study and concern for the holistic well being of all
students is evident throughout the curriculum, extra-curricular activities,
interscholastic athletics, and individual relationships with faculty. The
Middle School years are ones of great transition, challenge, and maturation.
The School emphasizes a gradual and constructive release of responsibility
to students during this time while maintaining a balance of support and
autonomy in all programs.
