Welcome Back Allen Family from Your Parent’s Association

Allen’s Parent Association strives to form a partnership and foster a spirit of community between parents, guardians, and school administration to support Allen’s mission and promote the welfare and education of Allen Students. We sponsor several events throughout the school year including: welcome back student mixers, book fairs, tailgate parties, seasonal class parties, holiday campus decorating, teacher and volunteer appreciation events and more.

The 2010-11 school year promises to be one of the most memorable years in Allen’s rich history. In addition to the excitement building around campus over the amazing new facilities and sporting fields under construction, Allen will also celebrate 125 years of successfully educating youth to become responsible, contributing adults. Your Parent Association is proud to be an active part in your child’s life this school year and would like to invite you to become a part of it too.

Parent Association Events for 2010-11

• Holiday Parties – Throughout the year your children celebrate the holidays as a class.
• Spirit Day - Come enjoy a tailgate party and watch the Ram’s football.
• Fall Festival – October 28^th, The PA works along with Student Council members to sponsor a festival for children of all ages.  The event includes carnival type games, inflatables, haunted house, food and games.
• Holiday Fund – Parents have the option to donate to a fund to provide a monetary bonus to the Allen staff in lieu of holiday gifts near Christmas.
• Holiday Decorations – Decorate our campus for the upcoming winter holidays.
• Pancake Supper - Come and enjoy a pancake supper and take in one of the many sporting events occurring on campus during the evening.
• Burger Night/Fine Arts Showcase Night – Enjoy a burger dinner at the Fine Arts Showcase in appreciation for all volunteering efforts throughout the school year.
• TV Turnoff Week – Publicize and encourage participation in a week of no electronic media. Participants are rewarded.
• Commencements and Graduations – Kindergarten, 5^th, and 8^th, Provide receptions to celebrate our recent graduates.
