Textbooks

At Allen Academy, it is our goal to make things as simple and as cost-efficient as possible for our families. Which is why we partnered with MBS Direct to be our school's official texbook provider.

Each school year we work side-by-side with MBS Direct to organize our Virtual Bookstore so that you can match your student's course schedule with the books that he/she needs. To order textbooks and course materials with convenience and accuracy, please follow these steps.

1. Go to http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/allenacademy.htm
2. Select "Order Your Books"
3. Select the Division(s) that your student(s) are enrolled in (i.e. Lower School, Middle School and/or Upper School)
4. Select the courses in which your student is enrolled
5. Select new, used or digital book (if a used book is available, the MBS website will default to giving you a used book at a reduced rate)
6. The next page are suggested study guides that MBS is making you aware of - none of these books are required

MBS Direct has developed a multitude of services designed to help reduce textbook costs:

• Used books are up to 25% off the price of a new book.
• There's a Customer Loyalty program that offers more money back.

At the end of the school year, Allen Academy hosts an In-House Textbook Exchange where parents can sell and buy their textbooks to and from other Allen Academy families. This cuts out the "middle-man" and can save families a lot of money.

Following the Textbook Exchange, we host the MBS Buyback. This is an opportunity for families to sell their books back to MBS.
