Director of Advancement
Allen Academy seeks a dynamic, thoughtful, and inspiring leader as its next Director of Advancement (DOA) to begin no later than July 1, 2023. The new DOA reports to the Head of School and is a member of the senior Administrative Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational components of annual giving, fundraising events, stewardship, volunteer engagement, capital giving, and alumni relations for the school.
The DOA is responsible for ensuring an integrated approach to the school’s fundraising and external relations operations — including donor solicitations, volunteer engagement and management, advancement publications and outreach, donor stewardship, engagement events, board relations, and alumni relations. The DOA partners with the Head of School on a variety of initiatives and is singularly responsible for sustaining and strengthening awareness and understanding of Allen's annual and capital funding priorities.
This is a full-time, year-round, benefits-eligible position with compensation commensurate to experience.

Desired qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 2 years of advancement/fundraising experience and a strong understanding of best practices in independent school philanthropy
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, plan, and cohesively integrate a full range of development programs
Event management experience and/or passion for community social events
Excellent marketing and communication skills, both oral and written, and a passion for constituent relations, including volunteer and alumni engagement
